As of now our goal is to make a playable demo with a basic mission. To show what is possible and not. But mostly to get a wider audience.

The first iteration of Panzer Unity had multiplayer! This version has not yet ^^

Panzer Unity is already unique. You cant compare with the other games at all. Remember that everything in Panzer Unity is physics based. Everything from the single tracklink to the bullets!

Our future goals you will see in due time Very Happy

Had a little spare time today and was driving around the countryside of the "Panzer Unity MP demo". Must say first off is it ran with less hiccup's or bugs than either TvsT or SF when they were first released.

Excellent start for a new PC MP tank simulator and I really enjoy the simple basic control layout for running the tank. Have to say, just wished there was another player or more at the time. Very Happy

Again great beginning and work by the Panzer Unity MP team and thank's for the preview. cheers

I've one question. A modern SDK such as from BIA (Brothers in arms), HL(Half-Life), FNV(Fallout Las Vegas) already has AI for the basic tasks(u may play with AI scripting). Does Unity has already prepared basic AI? Or it is only plain Graphic engine and modder must create AI from the scratch?

There are good news form the "Panzer unity" front. There will be two new tanks:
Pz.IV/F2 and Crusader (which index I don't know).

Suppose, these tanks will take part in the first demo mission, which will be released to demonstrate an abilities of the "Unity" engine.

    lockie:
    1. You can make the ai as basic as you want for example following a pre defined path, or put checkpoints it will go between randomly if you place more then 2 of them (a bit similar to SF) or very advanced ai. Its all up to the coder. Unity does not have anything finished for that, its all code you do by yourself! Or you may buy some finished assets and use. Atm we are using checkpoints for the ai, it will go between them all randomly, and shooting at the enemy when he sees it.

    2. Im about to finish the Panzer 4, adding clutter and details to it as we speak. And hopefully soon we get a finished texture, its under progress!
And about Crusader, im making both an MkI and MkIII, those two are the versions with most notable differences. And on the renders its an MkI Very Happy

    Hi, Murkz
Thank u very much for the great screenshots sharing! All of them looks beautiful!
I like landscape and especially models of the bush. Did u make it or use already prepared?
Can u post here a couple links where d/l all necessary soft to install "Panzer unity"?
Personally, I'm interested to have a look on the Mission/Polygon editor Smile
And why insignia on the Pz.IV is not original? It must be a swastika in the middle of palm.

Hi Lockie, as soon as there is a playable demo I will post the link here for you guys. Everything you see here is made by the PzU team.

As for the DAK palm, we have two German members on the team and the swastika is outlawed in Germany. So we have a compromise but I am sure both versions will be available at some point.

Snazzy looking Panzer. How many tanks do you plan to have initially (German, British, Italian, Shermans maybe? ...)?

Lockie@ download unity and take a look! It is an easy terrain editor and its very powerfull too. And with some code or finished assets you can do whatever you want.
Check youtube for a unity 5 terrain tutorial.
And all models and textures you see are made by us.

Kapula@ on my workmap i have PzIII ausf J1, N, PzIV ausf D, E F1 and F2. Also on Brittish i have Crusader MkI, MkIII and Matilda II. A Pz II we already have. But for the first playable public demo probably only PzIV F2 and Crusader MkI. So its early to mid Afrikan war campaign.
